Good quality pianos have been passed down from generation to generation in Australian homes since the 1880s. If we respect our planet we should continue recyling all existing pianos.
It is unfortunate that at a time when we should be cutting down less trees many dealers do not seem to care and only want to sell new pianos. These dealers tell you that when you buy a new piano it will last a lifetime yet they also tell you that you should keep away from second hand pianos which are more than 10, 20 or 30 years old. It is well known that a well maintained good quality second hand piano is much better than a cheap new one. The fact is that most pianos are kept safely in peoples homes for many decades and are hardly used.
Buying a well prepared good quality second hand piano will save you '$000s. It is better than carbon trading and you do not have to wait till 2010.

The Piano Showroom is fully equipped to repair, detail and restore any piano, replace strings, hammers, piano regulation and cabinet repairs. Private, Trade and Insurance work is welcomed.
